Midlife, a big life change, and a burning desire to do something that’s truly yours. Sound familiar? You’re in exactly the right place.
I started work at 17 and spent decades climbing the corporate ladder. I did the maternity leave, came back part time, kept going, kept showing up. And for a long time, that felt like enough. It’s what you’re supposed to do — right?
But somewhere along the way I started asking — is this it?
My pay capped. My holidays limited. My time not really my own.
In 2017 our whole family packed up and moved from Sussex to Devon — a fresh start, a new chapter, and a chance to really think about what the next part of life could look like. With my family close by and a future that felt wide open, one thing became crystal clear.
I didn’t want to spend the rest of my working life answering to someone else.
I wasn’t ready to give up the 9-5 just yet — but I wanted options. I wanted opportunities. Something that was mine, built on my terms, that could grow alongside my life rather than control it.
That’s exactly what Dottymango is about. And it’s exactly what I want to help you create too.
I’m not a twenty-something tech whizz. I came to websites later in life, navigating brain fog and a steep learning curve with absolutely no technical background. I figured it out step by step — and I documented every single bit of it so you don’t have to struggle alone.
Dottymango exists for midlife women who are done being capped. Women who want flexibility, independence, and a business they’re genuinely proud of. And it starts with having your own corner of the internet.
No jargon. No overwhelm. Just one step at a time.
Whether you’re just curious or you’re ready to dive in, I’d love you to stick around. Follow along, grab a free resource, and let’s build something brilliant together.
